SUBBIAH NALLAMUTHU (Founder)
Nalla`s Ark is a non-profit foundation that was established in July 2019 by award-winning wildlife filmmaker Subbiah Nallamuthu, based in India. Nalla has been observing and filming tigers for over twenty years, sharing fascinating stories from his unique perspective with a worldwide audience.
Hello, my name is Nalla. (Pronounced "NA- LL-AH") We have been making niche content, such as character-driven tiger-centric films in India, for a decade. With thirty years of filmmaking experience and creative practice, I am still excited about turning my knowledge of photography and the craft of filmmaking into original forms of wildlife storytelling. So initially, the urge to tell these stories from our perspective drove us to established Grey Films India Pvt. Ltd. We worked in tandem with Natural History Unit India, founded by my wife Anvita Adeshra, which is exclusively devoted to wildlife content creation. Yet there are so many layers to wildlife stories that I wanted to go beyond telling them on television networks and similar platforms. Being in touch with people at the grassroots level gave me a new perspective and an urge to share my experiences through Nallas Ark Foundation, one story at a time...
Tiger was an inspiration to me.
